Leadership changes for BCD M&E across EMEA and UK
CHICAGO – January 30, 2020 – After announcing that Bruce Morgan has taken the role of COO for the company, BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) has implemented several key leadership changes within the regions of EMEA and the UK, having recently been separated into two distinct regions.
The following appointments have been made as the company continues to execute a three-year strategic growth plan focused on creating the most value for customers through innovative and best-in-class products and services that drive business results through human connection.
Helen McCabe has been named Managing Director, UK. Having been with BCD M&E for 28 years, McCabe possesses a deep understanding of the business across multi-functional areas. She will manage leaders in the UK from all lines of business including Event Solutions & Sports, Meetings Management & Life Sciences and Venue Search.
Mikael Ek has been named Managing Director, EMEA. Ek has a varied background in the M&E sector including Events agency management in multiple EMEA markets, market leadership in the Meetings Management sector and regional leadership with P&L management experience, bringing strong commercial and client-facing skills to the role. Most recently, Ek was the Commercial Lead for American Express GBT’s Global Client Group and Head of Global Deal Consulting.
Geert Jan Jongeneel, previously CFO and MD EMEA, will continue to be global CFO and intensify his focus in targeting acquisitions.
