Adjustments to registration website development policy increases efficiency by 20%+ and saves $200K
Following the internal performance review of a BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) client ─ one of the “big four” in professional services ─ we identified an opportunity to optimize their registration website development.
The high level of customization that was repeatedly occurring was causing slow turnaround times and additional costs, so BCD M&E recommended a solution to avoid this.
BCD M&E developed a standardized website language that would be applicable to all meetings and that would require no more than two rounds of edits, once the website had been built.
To further improve efficiency, the process required meeting owners to gain approval of at least 80% of their content prior to the initial website build.
BCD M&E’s optimization efforts improved the client’s process efficiency process by over 20% and managed to save a staggering $200,000 in staff reductions. This was mainly achieved by streamlining the process and enabling the website’s first draft to be delivered to meeting owners within a shorter turnaround.
Meeting owners also provided positive feedback on the policy change once the website had been launched.
